Larger display bowls are great to use for decor and food presentations. Decor pairings can include items like flowers, ornamental orbs, flameless candles, and greenery with fairy lights mixed in. When setting up food displays, make sure the items are either wrapped or that there’s a food-safe liner between the food and bowl. For example, if you’re using them for cookies, put wax paper or parchment paper on the bowl before you stack the desserts.
A riser tray is an extremely versatile option. Use it to hold food, beverages, or decor for the wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, or reception. Showcase photos of the couple at either of the three stages of the event. During cocktail hour, use the trays for holding drinks or small bites as they’re passed out to guests.
There are many additional ways to use riser trays during the reception, such as exhibiting seating cards. They would also be great for creating centrepieces ranging from holding small lanterns to vases with real or artificial flowers. Don’t count them out for carrying appetisers, desserts, or food for the meal. For example, you can use them to create mini fruit and cheese platters for each table or top them with mini cheesecakes during dessert hour. Line the riser trays first before putting on food.
Display trays with multiple shallow compartments are great for food as long as they’re properly lined with wax paper or parchment paper. They can be especially beneficial for putting one tray on each table during the reception with foods like nuts, cheese, crackers, fruit, vegetables, dips, and candy. It gives guests a chance to snack while they wait for the primary appetisers, and the sectioned trays keep each food separate.
Mirrored trays, both round and rectangular, add elegance to a wedding ceremony or reception. They’re a beautiful pairing with filled glasses, such as champagne flutes, as the reflection creates a lovely illusion. Speaking of reflection, putting flameless candles as they are or in lanterns can be a gorgeous addition to the mirrored trays. You can also add vases with flowers or greenery and weave fairy lights in between.
Elongated trays and bowls may seem challenging to use as wedding ceremony and reception decor, but they’re actually great for table styling. For example, if you’re having a beach wedding, put an elongated tray or bowl at the centre of each table and fill them with (clean) shells and sea glass. For a winter wedding, clean pinecones and faux pine branches can add incredible charm and style. If you’d like to go the snack route, you can’t go wrong with filling each one with a range of wrapped candies that guests can munch on and eventually take home.
Some table display items have feet, while others sit flat on the table’s surface. For the former, consider weaving fairy lights across the table and in between the feet to create a cohesive look between each item on the table. Display pieces that sit flat on a table’s surface can look wonderful with embellishments like faux flower petals, cutout paper hearts, or little wooden stars.
Several of our table styling items are neutral-coloured and composed of material like natural wood. It makes them easy to incorporate into the wedding day and future casual and formal events.
